Russian Volume lashes are much finer lashes, and are hand made one by one into a tiny, small lash fans, then the lash fan is applied to one natural lash. Volume Lashes can be anything between 2D and 16D meaning, 2 Dimension or 2 lashes creating 1 fan and 16D is 16 lashes creating 1 fan but are much finer and lighter in weight. The sky is the limit on how much the top stylists can earn, but its dependent on your skills and client base. If you price yourself too low, then it can be difficult to increase your prices. Location can also dictate, for example the average cost in London is much higher than in Northamptonshire for example, so more affluent areas command higher prices. We can only lash the medium and fully grown lashes (we always avoid the new growth or baby lashes). With one hand using a tweezer a natural lash is chosen and separated from the others, with the other hand and using another tweezer a synthetic lash extension is picked up, dipped in a tiny amount of glue then applied to the chosen natural lash. A Flat Lash is designed differently and instead of the end being cylindrical it has been manufactured with a groove at the base of the lash and this allows it to fit more snuggly to the cylindrical shape of the natural lash. Some lash stylist prefer the Flat lash however, there is no difference when applying it. Flat lashes offer better retention for Classic styles and come in various lengths and thicknesses as regular Classic lashes.
There are a few ways to hide a gap in the lash line. (a) choose a lower weight lash such as a 0.03, 0.04 or 0.05 and create a wide Volume fan on each lash on either side of the gap, the wider lashes will hide the gap beautifully. (b) You can use the Capping method and cap the lashes either side of the gap to hide it, however, be mindful of the weight of these lashes including the weight of the glue which may over weigh the lash. (c) If you cannot create a Volume fan, you could use Pre-made Lashes instead. Sadly, you cannot apply lashes where there aren’t any natural lashes as lash extension glue must never touch the skin, the only glue that can touch the skin is latex glue using cluster lashes, however these will not last more than a day or two.
Straight or downward facing lashes can be tricky to lash, but there are ways to get around this. (a) You can use tape and slide it under the tips of the lashes to lift the lashes back onto the eyelid, releasing some lashes making it easier to apply the lash extensions, repeating this until your set is finished. Be mindful to detach the tape so when you remove the tape it doesn’t cause pain. (b) You can also use tape to lift the skin on her eyelid that will gently lift her lid lifting the lashes off the eye pad enabling you to access them more easily. Take a piece of tape and tear off approximately 6cm in length fold in one end creating a ‘tab’ stick the other end to the eyelid close to the lash line area of the eye you want to lift, with the tab end gently pull back and lift the lid to where you want it and then stick the tape down, you are now ready to lash. Tip: You can use this method too for accessing the inner or outer corners of the eyes, and this is an excellent technique for looser skinned eyes.

If its red don’t touch it!
